UFC newcomer Denis “The Menace” Stojnic, a big solid kickboxer will take on heavyweight rookie standout Cain Velasquez. Velasquez is still new to the sport, but looks very impressive thusfar. He is an excellent wrestler with good stand up and has not gone past the first round in all four of his fights. Stojnic striking is very sharp but lacks the ground game, where he will get taken apart by Velasquez. Cain via first round TKO.

Pats Prediction

This fight is sure to spark some fireworks. BothNeer and Danzig are extremely well rounded, experienced fighters. Neer will need to take this fight to Danzig trying to throw him off his rhythm, similar to they way Clay Guida was able to. Both fighters are well versed in submissions and I believe the fight will stay on their feet. Danzig will stay calm under pressure and take this fight via third round TKO.

Kurt Pellegrino vs. Rob Emerson

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ace Kurt “Batman” Pellegrino will square off Rob Emerson. Emerson has been hot as of late, with six straight wins with one No Contest in the mix. Emerson is coming off a huge KO against Manvel Gamburyan at UFC 87. Pellegrino is also coming off a very solid unanimous decision victory over the always dangerous Thiago Tavares at UFC 88. The advantage standing will go to Emerson and the ground to Pellegrino, where I see it ending up and Pellegrino scoring a second round submission win.

A great match-up between Anthony “Rumble” Johnson and Luigi Fioravanti. Johnson is coming off a huge KO kick to the head of Kevin Burns, will be feeling very confident coming in to this fight. Fioravanti a very well rounded fighter with tons of heart will be outmatched by Johnson’s speed and athleticism this night and suffer a third round TKO.
