The “California Kid” Urijah Faber (23-4) returns to take on Japanese stand out Takeya Mizugaki (13-4-2). The former Featherweight Champion Faber will make his Bantamweight debut (135 lbs.) The two were scheduled to meet at WEC 50, but due to an injury Faber was forced to pull out. Faber has tasted defeat in 2 of his last four bouts. Most recently against Jose Aldo, where he took a five round beating at WEC 48 in a title match. Since arriving to the WEC Mizugaki has gone 2-2. With his most recent fight against submission ace Rani Yahya winning a unanimous decision. Urijah will need to put on a good performance in hopes to make some noise in the bantamweight division.
