CM Punk is the talk of the town at the moment. Some people hate him and some people love him, but we think it is a good idea to put your money on him and here are three compelling reasons why.
Big stage experience – CM Punk has a lot of fight time under his belt in the big stages which attract big crowds and this is crucial considering he is going to be tackling press conferences, media interviews, and video packages. Punk is not a stranger to any of these things given his WWE experience.
On the other hand, his opponent Mickey Gall is on the other end of the spectrum when it comes to big stage experience. It is safe to say that this is going to be his first time in the spot light. Gall has only had two pro fights previously in his career. We have all seen it happen before, a newbie fighter is thrown in the ring and tries to do something spectacular in order to attract attention and it ends up being an epic fail in most cases.
Punk has a lot on the line – CM Punk has come under a lot of criticism for having signed with the UFC and a lot of people will be wanting to see him lose, ergo, CM Punk has a lot to prove and he knows it. But Punk is no stranger to being the underdog everyone thinks has no chance, he has found himself in this situation several times in the past and has always come out on top.
His training camp is a good one – Roufusport training camp is the real deal and they will ensure that Punk is where he needs to be mentally and physically prior to this fight.
